Here we go!

We started on the last week of easter break, shooting the final sets for each individual. We found that for some of the sets, the individuals came prepared and aware of the time limit and have brought enough with them for us to help them with the layout of there set. However some turned up with very little other than a few A2's.

This proved extremely difficult when trying to produce variety within set shots, when there was little to work with and the individuals were not giving much away about here personality. It was a very hard process and of course those who didn't come prepared or brother took longer to shoot as we then had to find or recreate objects etc for them to work with. here are some of the final sets shots which were harder to work with:

However i still think we did a good job in producing a range of compositions in the shots above considering that these were some of the hardest. The shots below were alot easier to control and improves as the individuals came with ideas and work:

Jimmys was very good fun:

Ollies was my favoute:

Sample form above from Alex bucktins set and close ups below. We had to provide and shoot a wide varity of close ups of each individuals work to ensure that we didnt need to re shoot any of the final products after that individual had had there slot:

We took it in parts of two turns to shoot the sets in alternate hours each evening for the last two weeks. It was very draining and i dont think any of us appreciated how much effort this would of been, however at it was my idea of using the sets in the first place to convey each individuals design practice/personality i had to maintain this and push everyone forward when others thought the sets weren't working.

Overall i think we all did a splendid job on the variety, interesting composition for set design, i was present at the majority of sets to art direct and improve layout if my other team members were struggling and i think at this point in time we all work very well and effiencly together as a group.

Now it was time to edit the shots and close ups for each person and leave it form here on my part as annad, rhianne and patrick to take over to start finalizing the design for the publication.
